Uddeshya Bharti, Jan Mitra Nyas and PVCHR facilitated disaster relief and hygiene support for 300 flood-affected families in Patna.
On 2 and 3 October 2026, Uddeshya Bharti, in collaboration with Jan Mitra Nyas and the People’s Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (PVCHR), facilitated disaster relief and hygiene support for 300 flood-affected families in Bindtoli and Sheikhpura villages of Patna district, Bihar.
The support reached vulnerable households, including daily-wage workers, women-headed families, elderly persons, persons with disabilities, farmers and other historically marginalized families whose homes and livelihoods were affected by the floods. The relief support was made possible through philanthropic support and community-based relief efforts, providing immediate assistance to families during the post-flood period. The distribution was carried out with the support of PRI members and local volunteers, who helped identify vulnerable families, coordinate with the community and ensure smooth and transparent distribution.
